Potato for food
The Potato Packing Plant of E.A.S. Naxos receives the potatoes produced by the producers who are members of E.A.S. Naxos.
The essential inspections take place (in order for the inappropriate condyles to be removed) and then the potatoes are standardized and stored in our cold stores.
After that, the potatoes are packed in 3kg nets or in 25kg sacks and are distributed to the big Super Market chains.
Note that every potato package is accompanied by the necessary labelling, thus following the traceability procedure; this means that, in case of a problem, the consumer will be able to find which farmer and land parcel the potatoes come from, as well as all the inspections and cultivation cares which took place from the moment of planting until that of picking.
