In the early 1980s, the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Naxos opened a small outlet at Naxos Chora, originally established to supply the Union’s members with essential goods and household appliances.

In 1984, the Ministry of Agriculture took the initiative of providing 100% funding for cooperative butcher shops, under the strict condition that these shops exclusively handled and sold local meat. The Union utilized this legislation and established its cooperative butcher shop behind its outlet at Naxos Chora.

To this day, this shop continues to supply quality local meat, having earned a distinguished reputation among consumers. Over the years, the original outlet has rapidly evolved into a modern yet traditional grocery, butcher shop, and mini market.

In addition to the Union’s certified products (e.g., premium cheeses, local meat, and the renowned potato of Naxos), the store offers an extensive range of items from the Small Cyclades region and other Greek cooperatives, such as honey, many kinds of beverages, and traditional sweets. Moreover, it remains dedicated to meeting all consumer requirements.
