In the beginning of the 80ies, the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Naxos created a small store at the capital city of Naxos (Chora), in order to provide its members with necessities and household appliances.

However, in 1984, the former Ministry of Agriculture (now Ministry of Rural Development and Food) published a bulletin through which funded the creation of cooperative butcher shops throughout Greece but in one clear condition: those butcher shops were obliged to manage and sell local meat only.

E.A.S. Naxos took advantage of that condition, accepted the Ministry’s invitation and created its cooperative butcher shop at the back side of its then offices at Chora of Naxos. As the years passed by that very first store of our company was developed into a modern yet traditional garden grocery-butcher shop and mini market.

In our always rich store you will find, apart from the pure, qualitative and certified products of E.A.S. Naxos (eg, cheeses, always local meat, Naxos potato), a wide range of products from Naxos, the Small Cyclades and other islands, regions and cooperatives of Greece (eg, honey, various types of drinks, sweet). In addition, available in our store are many more products that meet the consumers’ requirements.
